Lookout Publishing resides within CFB Esquimalt, in Victoria, BC. We pride ourselves on producing top quality publications that assist internal communications within the military community. Among the highly trained staff are graduates from the University of Victoria and Royal Roads University, an advertising consultant team with more than 30 years experience, and a graphic design team with the creativity and dedication to make your advertisement produce results.
Lookout Newspaper
Lookout is CFB Esquimalt’s award-winning, weekly newspaper. With a weekly distribution of 5,000, it keeps the more than 6,800 Canadian Forces personnel serving with Canada’s Navy on the West Coast well informed. As a community newspaper, it also reaches the families of serving members, and the many civilian employees who work in support roles on the base. During a recent internal study, the Lookout newspaper was identified as the number one way people on base receive information.

Canadian Forces Newspaper Advertising
There are 16 Canadian Forces newspapers published on bases and wings across Canada representing the three CF environments: Army, Air Force, and Navy. These CF newspapers are the primary internal communication tool used by CF Base/Wing Commanders to reach more than 70,000 service personnel, and DND and CF Personnel Support Agency/Non-Public Fund employees, retired members and their families.
The CFN advertising team provides a national reach with one point of contact. Canadian Forces Base newspapers have a circulation of over 81,000, reaching 16 military bases in eight provinces and 24 naval reserve divisions located across the country.
