Esquimalt Community

This community is situated on 72 acres that offer a mix of commercial, residential and industrial development. This community contains: scenic parkland, waterfront walkways, beaches, and a golf course. This area of town hosts the largest portion of CFB Esquimalt and is the home of Canada's Pacific Naval Fleet. In this community, you will be able to find the Dockyard, Naden, Work Point and the Base Language Training School.

Victoria

Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia, and home to the seat of the provincial government. Office buildings, shopping districts and heritage building dominate this area. Saanich

The fourth community is Saanich which is a major residential area in the Capital Regional District. This section of the Greater Victoria maintains an important agricultural base. This community offers provincial parks, public beaches and picturesque waterfalls at Beaver Lake and Swan Lake. If you enjoy beautiful views, you will be delighted when you will reach the top of Mount Douglas and contemplate the City of Victoria below.

Colwood

Colwood is the first community on the West Shore. This municipality offers a wide range of attractions and activities for people of all ages. You can play golf in the morning and go fishing in the afternoon. This community is family oriented and is one of the fastest growing communities in BC.

Colwood is located 12 Km from Dockyard and contains other sections of CFB Esquimalt. In this community you will find the largest proportion of Residential Housing Units, in an area called Belmont Park adjacent to the Royal Roads University. Belmont Park has a Canex convenience store, a school and 2 churches. There is also a facility centre provided by the base called the Colwood Pacific Activity Centre (CPAC), which is within a 10 minute walking distance of Belmont Park.

Sooke is located further west of Esquimalt and is about a 40-minute car ride from downtown Victoria. Scenic ocean views and the grandeur of the Olympic Mountains are common vistas in this community. Sidney
