Opening of the BC Legislature

A ceremonial Guard of Honour comprised of 100 members from Maritime Forces Pacific (MARPAC) were on parade during the opening of the 6th Session of the 40th Parliament of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Wednesday Feb. 14.

Also participating was the Naden Band of the Royal Canadian Navy and an artillery saluting battery from 5th B.C. Field Regiment Royal Canadian Artillery.

The ceremony began with a 15-gun Vice-Regal Salute when Her Honour, Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon, arrived to meet Premier Christy Clark on the steps of the Legislature Building at 1:40 p.m.
