MARPAC Health and Wellness Expo

 

Santé & bien-être expo

Over 120 booths connecting local health, educational, financial and other local businesses within our military community. This is inclusive of all dimensions of overall wellness, including social, occupational, intellectual, and overall well-being.

Easter

As a way to engage the military, their families and the community in the Spring, this event includes Easter-related activities such as an Easter egg hunt, games and snacks.

Volunteer Appreciation Event

To show appreciation to all Volunteers a Virtual Cooking Class presented by The London Chef will be held online!

Navy Run

June 22

 

All-inclusive, community 5k, 10k and kids run. This event draws in Defence and surrounding community members from all over the Island to participate with their friends, families, and even compete with their Units.

Bike to Work Week

A health, wellness, and sustainability-focused event that provides a breakfast and encourages those to bike to work.  

Ship-to-Shore Expo

Over 100 booths connecting local industrial businesses with our military community to engage them in local services, resources, and opportunities.

Formation Fun Day

A thank you to all of our military members, veterans and families for their support and sacrifice – offering over 50 activities including fair rides and activities for all ages, Base, sponsor and local displays, a BBQ, food offerings, as well as a market showcasing local vendors.

Base Commander’s Golf Tournament

A day of golf and lunch for our CAF members and local business partners and leaders. A highly sought-after event, this brings out the competitive and fun spirit in members as it is an approved day out of the office.

Canadian Forces Sports Day and Awards Event

All-inclusive and presents a variety of sports for military members to learn about and engage in. This is also an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of Base teams in the past year through an awards ceremony.

Halloween Event

Open to all ages, this event includes a Haunted House, a Halloween performance, pumpkin carving, games, snacks and crafts to engage the Defence community and their families in the Fall. Attendees can dress up in costume and spend the day bouncing between activities that they can all do individually or as a group.

Jolly Days

 

December – TBD

The last events of the year as the Defense community gets ready for the holiday break and ships come back from deployments. This event engages the Base and surrounding community to participate in Gingerbread House decorating, crafts, games and lunch followed by a skate and swim with Santa.

The light up of The Naden entrance to the Base connects the Base with local communities.
